It’s been a long time since Emma and I have stepped into the world of dog agility. Life shifted in big ways after Covid, and the training and competition opportunities where I lived slowly disappeared. But the spark—the one that began in me as a child—never went away.
Agility is both wonderfully complex and beautifully simple. There’s planning, training, expense, mental focus, and physical endurance woven into every step of the journey. Yet the sweetest reward is something far simpler: the partnership with your dog, moving together toward a shared goal. That kind of connection is truly beautiful.
Emma and I are older now, and not quite as physically capable as we once were. So this time, we’re choosing slow and deliberate. No pressure. No rush. Just intention.
The plan? To enjoy every minute, celebrate small wins, and keep taking on gentle challenges together.
This feels like a new beginning—rooted in an old dream—and I’m grateful to be here again. 💛
